The murder of George Floyd prompted a national reckoning around race. With July 4th on the horizon, Citi created a film to show the importance of unity in America. It used the iconic song America the Beautiful and had it played using only the white keys of the piano. The resulting song was recognisable but sounded off. It was then played with both the black and white keys, creating a beautiful rendition that demonstrated how important it is for America to work together in harmony. The film received overwhelming support from viewers who called it “powerful,” “beautiful” and “riveting.”
