Publicis North America Welcomes Dawn Winchester as Chief Digital Officer
NEW YORK, NY (May 8, 2014) – Andrew Bruce, CEO of Publicis North America, today announced the appointment of Dawn Winchester as Chief Digital Officer, a newly created post for the region. She will be part of the leadership team in the Publicis Worldwide flagship New York office, Publicis Kaplan Thaler.
With over 20 years of experience, Winchester is recognized as a world-class digital and marketing leader with a proven track record for building successful digital and technology operations.
Dawn WinchesterMost recently, Winchester was Chief Marketing Services Officer at R/GA where she spent the past 14 years of her career. As a key architect of R/GA, Winchester has produced some of the most successful and award-winning case studies in digital marketing, products and services for leading global brands including Bank of America, Coca Cola, Capital One, Microsoft, Nike, Samsung, Unilever, Verizon and Wal-Mart.
In her new role reporting directly to Bruce, Winchester will be charged with building on the agency’s digital transformation and how it impacts the consumer experience, creative innovation and technology platforms to drive clients’ success.

This is the second major appointment since Bruce became CEO of Publicis North America in December 2013. In February, he appointed Carla Serrano, former CEO of Naked Communications, as Chief Strategy Officer of Publicis Kaplan Thaler. Winchester’s news comes on the heels of another major digital leadership hire announced earlier this month by Publicis Worldwide CEO, Arthur Sadoun, when he appointed Guy Wieynk, as CEO of Publicis UK Group and Nordics.

Prior to her 14 years at R/GA, Dawn was VP/Management Supervisor of Ammirati Puris Lintas Digital where she managed the Ameritech and UPS accounts. Before that she founded and directed BK&S Interactive, the interactive marketing division of New York ad agency. While there, she developed interactive strategies and campaigns for key clients. Winchester holds a BA in Literature from NYU.
